If you join our team, you may have the following responsibilities:
Conducting HSE-related self-verification and supporting self-verification plans.
Advise the BP Contract Accountable Managers (CAMs) and Job Representatives in meeting BP HSE Policies, Standards, Practices, and Guidelines.
Provision of coaching to peers in the BP Oman Team and to the contractors HSE Site Leads.
Support the BP Field Leaders and Suppliers Site HSE Leads to raise awareness among Wells site. personnel of potential HSE issues by maintaining noticeboards and conducting safety campaigns and initiatives.
Maintain Regional H&S documents related to Wells Operations and review processes to verify that procedures accurately reflect safe working practices.
Coordinate the response to safety issues identified from incident investigation reports with the appropriate Leaders (BP & Supplier).
Carry out regular site inspections based on the activity and risk of operational activities.
Analyse HSE Metrics, Supplier self-verification and BP Oversight findings in order to advise GWO LT and CAMs on emerging risks and other areas of concern.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BP HSE practices and assure that any changes are communicated as appropriate to Wells personnel;
Work closely with the specialists in the BP Oman HSE Team to ensure Health, Regulatory Compliance & Environment and Crisis Management & Emergency Response standards are maintained.
Support the continuous professional development of those in leadership positions.
In this role, we have the following requirements:
Open for Omani nationals only
Degree in Engineering, Science - HSE-related preferred.
Minimum of 5 years related experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
Demonstrated understanding of contractor SMS's and SMS bridging requirements.
Wells experience and understanding of drilling, completions and intervention activities, or equivalent from another high hazard industry.
Incident Investigator: BP L1 or greater.
\"Proven ability in building technical and operational capability in line or functional role.
Skilled in contractor management and oversight.
Working knowledge of Regional discipline-specific regulations.
Skilled in OMS and supporting BP Practices and Guides.
Proven track record of HSE performance delivery.
Track record in dealing with external stakeholders and managing reputational issues.
Expert in coaching and influencing skills.
Strong peer to peer and team-wide communicator.
